Case Study Neutralization of Alkaline Wastewater

Neutralization tank in calcareous sandstone industry

The alkaline wastewater of a calcareous sandstone factory is neutralized with flue gas. The wastewater is contained in a lying tank. Objective of the process is reducing the pH from approximately 12.5 to 7.5 – 8.0. The neutralization tank is equipped with two FUCHS CENTROX Aerators for Flue Gas CX-G 2.2. They are installed vertically right in the top of the tank. Each one transfers a flue gas volume of 80 m³/h. CENTROX Aerators for Flue Gas are self-aspirating so that no additional blower for the flue gas is required.
