Small size municipal WWTPs

In 2008, the second step of a comprehensive river rehabilitation program started in the region of Chengdu, PR of China. 56 sewer systems and wastewater treatment plants with a capacity from 1,000 m³/d to 10,000 m³/d daily flow were planned. Although the large 2008 Wenchuan earthquake caused immense damage to people and infrastructure, a part of the WWTPs could be started up until the end of 2009.12 WWTPs, which are equipped with FUCHS OXYSTAR Aerators, consistently meet the effluent quality and show excellent efficiency and reliability.

  • The FUCHS OXYSTAR Aerators are installed at service bridges with a suspension frame made of hot-dip galvanized steel.
  •  Maintenance, retrofitting or upgrading can be conducted without service break or draining the basin.
  •  The oxygen transfer rate is adjusted to the actual requirements by switching individual aerators on or off.
