Sewage Sludge

FUCHS – A Company of Practice

Over 30 years turning sewage sludge into Class A Biosolids - instead of disposing!

Close cooperation with research institutes and – what is more – many years of practical experience have contributed to the advanced know-how FUCHS offers today.

Since the 1960s we have been gathering comprehensive experience in sludge treatment. The first FUCHS ATAD plant in Germany started up as early as 1977. With eighty plants all over the globe to follow.

It was in the 1990s that the American environmental authority EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) evaluated German ATAD plants. Those were plants mainly built by FUCHS. The evaluation resulted in the internationally approved regulation US EPA 503 regarding Class A and B Biosolids.

FUCHS put experience from practical application into practice and designed the CENTROX Aerator with Foam Control, the reliable solution for uncomplex stabilization plants and an excellent means for keeping sludge fresh.
